14.07.2025 - Extensive plan to modernize security services
On Monday July 14, Tunisia’s Minister of the Interior, Khaled Ennouri, presented a vast modernization plan for the country’s security services. More than 570 infrastructure projects are underway across the country, to rehabilitate police, National Guard and Civil Protection stations.
The Ministry is continuing to digitalize services, with the digitization of criminal record requests, SMS notifications and the installation of surveillance cameras between cities. Biometric passports and identity cards will be introduced shortly. The boarding pass has been abolished at all airports and at the port of La Goulette, in favor of a digital system.
