Sadly, those lists keep on stretching. Unfortunately they are way far from exhaustive, or may you have information regarding the victims, or about new developments (health, legal outcomes etc.),, help us fill the gap by email at contact@obspol.be. Full names are displayed wherever the story has gone public and the names released...

- For their protection, the names of the victims and witnesses who sent us their testimony and allowed us to publish it have been made anonymous, as well as the dates and sometimes places of aggression.
- For those of the victims who sent us their testimony, a dedicated page will show the detail of the violence (both physical and psychological). For the others, this level of detail is sometimes missing..

It denounces the European Union’s failure to meet its obligations to prevent genocide and respect international law.
Juristes pour le respect du droit international (Jurdi) is outraged by the absence of sanctions by European institutions against Israel, despite the “avalanche of evidence documenting an ongoing genocide” in the Palestinian territory. They want “the European Union to face up to its responsibilities in Gaza”.
On Thursday, Juristes pour le respect du droit international (Jurdi) will lodge “an action for failure to act before the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) against the European Commission and the Council of the European Union”.
The panel accuses the institutions of “serious and prolonged inaction in the face of violations of international law in the Occupied Palestinian Territory”. The date of July 16 is symbolic: it coincides with the World Day of International Justice.
Despite formal warnings and an “avalanche of evidence documenting an ongoing genocide in Gaza”, Jurdi notes that the association agreement (an economic pact) linking the EU to Israel is still in force, and that no sanctions, such as those that may have been launched against Russia, have been imposed on the Hebrew state.
Experts in international law note that the “obligation to prevent genocide” has not been respected. The same is true of the “duty to put an end to obstacles to the self-determination of the Palestinian people”.
The issue of arms sales to Israel is also one of the association’s main concerns. Some member states continue to send military technology to Tel Aviv in “clear violation of the Arms Trade Treaty”, with no reaction from EU institutions, warns Jurdi.
The jurists are calling on the Court of Justice of the European Union to “formally note this failure” and “enjoin the EU institutions to suspend their cooperation with Israel, adopt targeted sanctions and respect their duty of prevention”.
“When institutions know, can and do nothing, that’s called passive complicity”, says Patrick Zahnd, President of Jurdi.

Various Palestinian prison institutions have just announced that the number of Palestinian prisoners stood at around 10,800 at the beginning of July 2025.
This figure represents the highest number of prisoners since the Al-Aqsa Intifada in 2000. They include 450 minors and 50 women, as well as 3,629 in administrative detention (imprisonment without charge or trial). In addition, at least 2,454 Palestinians from Gaza are currently being held as “illegal combatants”, a figure that does not include all those incarcerated in Israeli military camps.
