  • For their protection, the names of the victims and witnesses who sent us their testimony and allowed us to publish it have been made anonymous, as well as the dates and sometimes places of aggression.
  • For those of the victims who sent us their testimony, a dedicated page will show the detail of the violence (both physical and psychological). For the others, this level of detail is sometimes missing..

Recorded Police Violence Map

Cut Ties With Genocide, Maersk Headquarters, February 24, 2025

They witnessed it :
G.: “When the batons were put to use, very quickly the individual seemed non-responsive to the violence”

“The individual in question sat by the police line, with police using their knees on their backs close by the individuals neck. The individual clearly struggled through the actions duration with breathing at parts.

When the police around 12.30-13.00 pm started dispersing the activists, in this part of the blockade they liberally started using batons, dogs barking, and a certain amount of tear gas (low to moderate, higher doses used on the main blockade). When the batons were put to use, very quickly the individual seemed non-responsive to the violence.

When I realized they had seemingly passed out, I struggled to communicate to the police to stop the aggression and recognize the acute need for helping the individual. The police then dragged the individual “into” behind the police line. There were several seconds where the police continued pretty extreme aggression with batons, including the individual, and calling attention to their need was initially met with batons before the police acknowledged the event and moved to bring the individual out of the area of violence.

From then on some police administered some first aid to the individual and later they seemed to be dragged further away. From this point on I retreated under police aggression and lost sight of anything else concerning the passed-out individual.

It was clear that some of the individual’s comrades noticed the altercation and might independantly report it. They seemed very distressed at not being able to follow their comrade through the police line. I was not able to find them again and discuss the incident.”

N.: “The guy was almost unconscious and the police kept hitting him and the two people trying to help him”

“Two people in my affinity group tried to help a guy who was being hit with batons by the police and the guy was almost unconscious and the police kept hitting him and the two people trying to help him.

The police used teargas where people were trying to get out. People tried to get out quickly but it was a huge mass of people and the police still used the teargas. We couldn’t breathe.”

S.: “I saw the police push people so they fell to the ground, kicking them, beating them with sticks, using dogs”

“I saw the police push people so they fell to the ground, kicking them, beating them with sticks, using dogs, peperspray people who where already on the ground, teargas big crowds and beating people trying to run away.

Later I saw them push a woman to the ground and arrest her after the demo was over.”
