11.06.2025 - National mobilization for Julia Chuñil: “We will not rest until we find her”

Hundreds of Mapuche, environmental, workers and human rights organizations took to the streets of various cities in Chile to demand answers from the Government and the Public Ministry about the disappearance of Julia del Carmen Chuñil Catricura, who disappeared eight months ago, on November 8, 2024, in the commune of Máfil, Los Ríos Region.

In Valparaíso, the call yesterday – Monday, July 8 – was centered in the Plaza Aníbal Pinto where activists, students, teachers and workers raised the banners of “Justice for Julia Chuñil” and the unity of all social struggles (“no to the permit laws”, “solidarity with Palestine”). The call arose from a massive assembly held on June 11 at the University of Valparaíso, in which around seventy people participated together with Julia‘s family.
